The Makita DUP181Z cordless pruning shears are powered by an 18V LXT lithium-ion slide-type battery (battery not included) and feature a high-efficiency 18V brushless motor. This combination delivers up to 530W of maximum output power, ensuring precise, smooth, and effortless pruning performance.

Operation is controlled via a trigger switch, with built-in safety and performance features including an electric brake, torque limiter, and a warning lamp with dual LEDs located on the tool body. The DUP181Z also offers electronic adjustment of the blade opening angle and cutting depth, with four selectable opening angles to suit different branch sizes: 10mm, 18mm, 25mm, and 30mm maximum cutting thickness. Five cutting depth settings are available and can be adjusted by pressing and holding the angle adjustment button while the upper blade is closed.
