Atlas Hickory Axe Handle

The ATLAS HICKORY 90 cm bent axe handle is a high-quality replacement handle designed for 2000 g axes. Made from strong, durable hickory wood, this bent model features a 65 × 30 mm head size and a total length of 90 cm, making it suitable for demanding chopping and forestry applications.

Hickory is a naturally heavy, hard and exceptionally tough American hardwood. It offers excellent shock resistance, resilience and strength, making it particularly well suited to axe handles where durability and reliable impact absorption are important.

The ATLAS hickory handle is finished with plant-based Carnauba wax rather than conventional varnish or paraffin. This treatment allows the wood to breathe while helping protect it from absorbing water and dirt. It also helps retain the wood's natural light appearance and provides a smooth, comfortable surface that can help reduce the risk of blisters during extended use.

For fitting the handle to the axe head, ATLAS wedge set 651815 is recommended. The set contains one large wooden wedge and two No. 4 metal wedges, providing the components required for secure handle mounting.
