The ATLAS bent axe handle is made from high-quality ash wood and designed for axes weighing 2,000 g. Measuring 90 cm in length, it features a head fitting of 65 × 30 mm and offers a strong, comfortable, and durable replacement handle.

Premium Ash Wood for Strength and Durability

ATLAS axe handles are manufactured from carefully selected ash wood, valued for its strength, toughness, and excellent shock absorption.

To ensure dimensional stability and a reliable fit, the wood undergoes a two-stage drying process. First, the sawn ash planks are air-dried. They are then re-dried in a climate-controlled chamber using a computer-controlled process. This helps minimise shrinkage, keeping the axe head firmly secured to the handle.

Natural Carnauba Wax Finish

Each ATLAS handle is finished with plant-based carnauba wax. This natural treatment helps the wood breathe while reducing moisture and dirt absorption, preserving its attractive, light-coloured appearance.

The wax finish also provides a smooth, comfortable grip, helps reduce the risk of blisters, and contributes to a longer service life. Compared with conventional varnish or paraffin finishes, plant-based waxing offers a more environmentally conscious alternative.
